Meet the Band

Chris Gervais

Lead Singer

@chrysteria_27

Chris Gervais is the lead vocalist of the band. He comes from classic rock influences of the '70s and '80s, his absolute favorite of the bunch being bands like KISS. That being said, he values the visual aspect of a rock n' roll show just as much as the sonic aspect. His goal is to provide a sort of escape from the mundane routines of life. Besides fronting Bad Habit, Chris is a fan of the outdoors and cooking. He'd be an Anthony Bourdain television type if he couldn't sing.

Braeden Bowen

Guitarist

@braedenbowen

Braeden Bowen’s musical journey began with the violin in the 5th grade, where he spent years developing his ear and sense of melody through classical foundations. He played the instrument through his senior year of high school, but it was around 2012 that everything shifted—when he picked up the electric guitar for the first time. That moment sparked a new creative fire, one that’s been burning ever since.

Known for his rhythmic precision and intense, emotionally charged solos, Braeden brings a percussive energy to the guitar that commands attention. Whether locking into a riff or tearing through a lead, his playing is fueled by raw passion and years of dedication.

Raised on a rich blend of ’70s and ’80s music, Braeden was immersed early on in the sounds of Prince, Queen, and the heavier rock legends who truly shaped his style—Guns N’ Roses, Mötley Crüe, Black Sabbath, and beyond. That era’s spirit lives in his playing: powerful, expressive, and unafraid to make a statement.

For Braeden, the guitar isn’t just an instrument—it’s a voice, a release, and a lifelong pursuit of sonic storytelling.

Carlos Chaparro

Drummer

@that_drummer_from_sa

Carlos Chaparro has been surrounded by music his entire life. Whether it was backyard karaoke nights, jamming in his uncle’s Latin percussion studio, or 7 years of middle school and high school band. Carlos has always had music in his veins and wanted to showcase it to the world. Joining his first band at just the age of 13, Carlos was playing shows at bars he couldn't even get into yet, and playing songs that came out way before he was even born.

If there is one goal Carlos has whenever he picks up a pair of drumsticks, it is to make whoever is out there listening... MOVE!!! Whether that's dancing till your feet hurt or headbanging till your head falls off. Carlos is inspired by the Funk/Rock styles of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Led Zeppelin, as well as the hard-hitting, fast-paced styles of Slipknot and Pierce the Veil. He has now found his place as the newest member of Bad Habit, with musicians who share his passion for creating and playing music that they love, and most importantly... GETTING PEOPLE MOVING!!

Tyler Berry

Guitarist

@_thatguy93_

Tyler Berry is one of the fiery guitarists behind the hard-hitting sound of Bad Habit, known for his electrifying solos and deep, heavy riffs. His musical journey began during his time stationed abroad as a Marine, where he picked up the guitar and began to develop his craft, channeling the intensity and discipline of his military background into every note.

His roots trace back to before he was even born—when his parents saw Ozzy Osbourne live, featuring Pantera and Black Sabbath, in Costa Mesa, CA, while his mom was 8 months pregnant. This left a lasting impression on him, imbuing his soul with the raw power and rebellious spirit of rock that he would carry throughout his life.

Influenced by the iconic hard rock and metal bands of the 80s and 90s, his blend of passion, high energy, and metal roots makes him a force on stage, in the studio, and during every performance.

Joseph Garcia

Bassist

@jagged_1347

Joseph Garcia is an artist whose path into music started in a surprising way. Growing up, he was deep into the competitive gaming scene—especially competitive Call of Duty. Everything shifted when his dad bought him a bass guitar to pull him away from the screen. What started as a small distraction quickly became a lifelong passion.

With that bass in his hand, Joseph discovered a whole new world. He was drawn to the power and raw intensity of bands like Motörhead, early Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, and Pantera. Their energy and sound shaped the way he approached music, fueling his love for heavy tones and tight rhythm.

Joseph expresses himself through the instrument. His playing tells its own story—one driven by feeling, aggression, and the kind of connection only music can create.

Today, Joseph Garcia lays down bass line with the hard rock band Bad Habit, an energetic and adrenaline-inducing band straight from San Antonio, Texas.
